El Aricha

The wilaya of El Aricha is an Algerian wilaya created in November 2025, carved from Tlemcen Province. It is a small village located in the extreme south of Tlemcen Province in Northwestern Algeria, at the intersection of Tlemcen Province in the north, Sidi Bel Abbès to the east and Naâma to the west near the Moroccan border. With its arid climate in the steppe region, it is a first-class pastoral area where sheep farming is the main activity.
