The seasonal potato production in the Wilaya of Mostaganem exceeded 2.5 million quintals during the agricultural season 2025-2026, according to the Wilaya Directorate of Agricultural Services, reported today, Sunday.

Hamid Qoussem, the cork file manager at the Forestry Directorate, stated to the Algerian News Agency that the anticipated harvesting process, set to begin in the coming days, will cover 20 forest districts distributed across 12 forests in the province, with the regional rural engineering company 'Djurdjura' responsible for executing the operation, including employing seasonal labor, while harvesting workshops will be established after successful testing.
