Mila achieves more than 1.6 million quintals of garlic during the agricultural season 2025-2026

The Wilaya of Mila recorded a production of more than 1,619,000 quintals of garlic during the agricultural season 2025-2026, exceeding the initial expectations of the agricultural services which estimated the expected production at 1,550,000 quintals, according to the Directorate of Agricultural Services of the Wilaya. Mohamed Ben Qouitan, head of the production organization and technical support department at the directorate, explained that the achieved quantity reached 1,619,325 quintals, collected from a total area estimated at 2,887 hectares, noting that the majority of the cultivated areas are concentrated in the southern part of the Wilaya.
