The Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion has registered more than 21,000 investment projects as of March 31, with 54 percent of the declared projects having entered the actual implementation phase, while the number of projects that have entered production reached 1,364, according to the agency's director general, Omar Rakach. Rakach explained during his appearance on Algerian television that these projects, registered since the agency's activities began on November 1, 2022, are distributed between local and foreign investments and others in partnership with foreign operators, noting that 2,131 projects were registered during the first quarter of 2026, with an expectation of creating about 59,000 jobs.
