
African Development Bank: Algeria-Tamanrasset Railway Project Among 'Most Transformative' Infrastructure in Africa
The African Development Bank Group highlighted today in Brazzaville the Algeria-Tamanrasset railway line project as one of the 'most transformative' infrastructure projects in Africa, emphasizing the strategic importance of this trans-Saharan corridor in implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area. During a meeting organized as part of the African Development Bank's annual meetings, the bank's Vice President, Mari Lore Akin Olugbadi, stated that the bank's contribution to financing the first phase (Laghouat-Ghardaiya-Meniâ) of the Algeria-Tamanrasset railway line represents 'the largest project for the bank in Algeria.'
