The Algerian Institute for Standardization Sets Standards for the Protection and Valorization of Algerian Sheep Breeds
The Algerian Institute for Standardization (IANOR) announced the preparation of technical scientific specifications dedicated to four breeds of Algerian sheep, in a move aimed at protecting and valuing national genetic wealth by defining precise standards that identify the morphological, productive, and behavioral characteristics of each breed. These standards include four symbolic breeds: the Ouled Djellal breed under specification NA 15306-2007, the Red breed under NA 15307-2007, the Rambouillet breed under NA 15329-2013, and the Tazegzawt breed under NA 19425-2022.
