“Jibeli” pumps 120 million liters of subsidized milk during Ramadan
The public group for milk and its derivatives “Jibeli” raises the production of subsidized pasteurized milk to 4 million liters daily during the month of Ramadan, an increase of 21 percent compared to the normal average of 3.3 million liters per day, amounting to a total volume estimated at 120 million liters throughout the month, compared to 99 million liters in a normal month, aiming to ensure a regular supply to the national market. The General Director of the group, Samah Lahluh, confirmed in a statement to “APS” that this increase, along with the additional quantities provided by private dairies, will ensure the availability of widely consumed milk throughout the holy month, especially during peak demand periods.
